They're neat, but a character with high 2-handed skill can 1-shot everything everything on bannerlord difficulty with the store-variety greatswords and battleaxes anyway, and in turn all 2 handed weapons get mostly outclassed by the bladed polearms anyway, so that's a bit of a moot point.

Singleplayer is worth it if you already own the game or are a lover of the Mount&Blade franchise. (For that latter, you're going to buy it anyway :)) It is "grindy" in the late game and your gameplay past that point is, IMO, somewhat RNG. That's especially true when it comes down to patches and balance/AI changes.
The first key for me is to get 6-7 Endurance and grab the free point from Smithing. You also get a free point in Control (or Vigor, for some builds). Yeah almost definitely. After switching between the two, Warband's graphics reallllyyyyyy don't hold up to Bannerlord, and there is absolutely more freedom and more things to do in Bannerlord.
